2009 Year in Review

I’ve told many people that 30, has been the best year of my life. 8 1/2 countries, 8,000 + images, 39,000 air miles, much more grey hair, and one gorgeous daughter & wife; this truly has been the most amazing year.

As we wrap up 2009 and turning 31 is just a few days away, I both look back at the richness and adventure of the year and look forward with so much excitement as 2010 and 31 begins.

These photos aren’t necessarily the best images photographically but the ones that have such richness and abundant memories attached to them. Experience and relationship is such an important thing to me and this year will stand out as the best.

Thank you every one who helped make it such an amazing year! Especially Lindsey for giving me such an amazing daughter and being such a great mom, our family, my Dad for an especially adventure-filled year, our Baltimore family (the Sebeniecher’s), Bridget for a great time in Paris, and many, many more!

hi chief, really nice pics. looks like you spend more time in the weight room nowadays than back in the day! i reckon you need to be buff though, otherwise people might just kick your arse and steal your camera equipment! keep up the good work, and props to you on the upcominig loma exhibition. that sounds like a blast, youll be giving some inspiration to those young bucks (and maybe the elders too, ie: skalman, euge…). maybe some day youll get out here to asia and do some photoing, lot differnt climate and geography (tropical) than what you been doing, and anyway just looking for an excuse to get you out here for a visit! happy new year, peace,
    matt

    Hey Micah,

It’s been a while. We hooked up at Bayside a couple years back. Anyway, Viv and I visited The Flood in Sac last night and your name came up. Congrats on baby Norah. I became a father this year too. I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s been amazing! I’ll try to keep up with you via your blog.

    Peace brother,
    Pete

  7. Sean Gafner Says:

Brother! I love reading your blog! You are the only reason I know about anything outside of my own hectic bubble! 5 thoughts in no particular order (thats not true):
    1. I love that you & Lyns celebrated her pregnancy by hitting the hooka!
    2. I love that you got bunny-eared in Syria!
    3. You had a really nice ass in front of that Syrian temple!
    4. The high elevation pics of you, Mark & Chris filled my quiver!
    5. I WANNA KISS NORA ON THE FACE!!!

    I love you,

    Sean

  8. Renee Bartels Says:

    Hi Micah,
I am so appreciative of your photos and insight into a world so far away and yet so critical to understand. Blended with the beautiful pictures of Lindsey and Norah, family and friends, I wish I had your talent to put it all together for Piedmont! Our love to you and the family, Renee and David
