Micah Albert was born (1979) and raised in California. He is an independent photojournalist and writer represented internationally by Redux Pictures who has brought attention to major world issues in Sudan, DR Congo, Syria, Yemen, Chad, Central African Republic, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Kenya and many others.

Micah's work has been published internationally by the New York Times, Newsweek, BBC World, The Guardian, The Washington Times, World Policy Journal, Business Week, Lonely Planet, International Herald Tribune, PDN Magazine, Sacramento Bee, UNICEF, World Food Programme, UNHCR, UNFPA, Runners World, the North Face, British Airlines, among others.

He graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University, Keller Visual Art Center with a B.A. in Graphic Communication.

He has also been interviewed on NPR and BBC World News.
